Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join the Women’s and Neonatal Services pharmacy team at Birmingham Women’s Hospital. The role is Band 7, full-time (37.5 hours per week) with a salary in the range of £49,387–£56,515 per annum.

You will deliver high quality clinical pharmacy services across maternity, gynaecology and neonatal directorates, contributing to patient care, safety and cost-effective medicines management.

Qualifikationen

• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacist.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience.
• Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.

Aufgaben

• Ensure medicines are prescribed safely, economically and are appropriate to the needs of the patient across various specialties.
• Provide advice on pharmaceutical care to healthcare professionals and patients.
• To record clinical interventions and medication incidents to highlight areas of concern.
• To provide medication advice to patients and their families to ensure they are aware of their medicines and potential side effects.
• To analyse directorate finance reports and identify cost saving opportunities.
• To partake in clinical audit and service improvement projects.
• To support antimicrobial stewardship.
