Job summary

NHS Ayrshire and Arran in Scotland is seeking a Domestic Assistant based at Ayrshire Central Hospital. This permanent, part-time role (14.8 hours/week) involves Monday-Thursday 8am-11am and Friday 8am-10:48am, with full training provided.

You will join the Domestic Services Department to carry out cleaning duties to a high standard, ensuring hygiene and safety within a healthcare environment, with flexibility to adapt to staffing needs.

Qualifications

  • Experience with industrial cleaning equipment or healthcare setting is advantageous but not essential.
  • Must be physically fit and able to work on your own initiative or as part of a team.
  • Flexible due to staffing and activity changes in North Sector premises.

Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Domestic Assistant based at Ayrshire Central Hospital. This post is offered on a permanent basis.

Hours

14.8 hours per week: Worked Monday Thursday 8am 11am & Friday 8am 10.48am. This post is offered on a permanent basis.

What You Will Do

Working within the Domestic Services Department you will undertake a variety of housekeeping/cleaning duties which are carried out to a high standard. Full training will be provided.

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required For This Post

Working within the Domestic Services Department you will undertake a variety of housekeeping/cleaning duties. Experience with industrial cleaning equipment or working within a healthcare setting, would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given. The ability to work on both your own initiative and as part of a team and good communication skills are essential. Applicants should be physically fit, understand the importance of cleanliness in a healthcare environment. Priorities can change due to staffing and activity in the North Sector premises, and a degree of flexibility is required.
