Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Staff Nurse to join Ward 35 in Trauma and Orthopaedics. The role involves delivering patient-centred care, prioritising assessments and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.

You will work full-time in Ward 35, providing high standards of nursing care and supporting the nurse in charge. The post offers NHS pay, development opportunities and flexible working where available.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse with UK registration.
Experience in clinical area; ability to teach peers.
Proactive in continuous professional development and ward management.

Responsibilities

To work as a registered nurse on Ward 35 within Trauma Orthopaedics.
To prioritise and deliver nursing care and assessment as needed.
To demonstrate high standards of care and set examples of best practise in patient care.
To liaise with other departments to ensure patient care is delivered.
To ensure patients’ safety, privacy and dignity at all times.
To support the nurse in charge of the ward and liaise with other departments to meet ward needs.
To take charge of the ward and oversee admissions and transfers and care delivered by staff.
To undertake duties as determined by the Unit Manager/Head Nurse.
