Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Registered Nurse to join Ward 35 in Trauma Orthopaedics. The role focuses on delivering compassionate nursing care, conducting assessments, and upholding high standards of patient care.

You will liaise with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and support the nurse in charge with ward operations. Flexible working patterns may be available.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse employed in Trauma Orthopaedics ward 35.
• Prioritise and deliver nursing care and assessment as needed.
• Maintain high standards of care and best practice in patient care.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure patient care is delivered.
• Ensure patient safety, privacy and dignity at all times.
• Support the nurse in charge and liaise with staff to meet ward needs.
• Develop to take charge of the ward and oversee admissions and transfers.
• Undertake duties as directed by Unit Manager or Head Nurse.

Full Time posts are available offering exciting opportunities to join our team on Ward 35.

• To work as a registered nurse on ward 35 within Trauma Orthopaedics.
• To prioritise and deliver nursing care and assessment as needed.
• To demonstrate high standards of care and set examples of best practise within the delivery of patient care.
• To liaise with other departments and staff to ensure that patient care is delivered.
• To ensure patients’ safety, privacy and dignity is maintained at all times.
• To support the nurse in charge of the ward and liaise with other departments and professionals to ensure that the needs of the ward are met.
• Following appropriate development to take charge of the ward and oversee patient admissions and transfers and the care delivered by other staff.
• To undertake such duties as from time to time determined by the Unit Manager and/or Head Nurse.
