• Empathy for children and young people is essential.
• Experience in residential childcare is preferred.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and trauma-informed practice is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional reassurance and a calm presence overnight.
• Monitor wellbeing and respond to distress or needs during the night.
• Complete thorough night logs and safeguarding reports.
• Assist with bedtimes and morning routines as needed.
• Conduct regular checks to maintain a safe, peaceful environment.
• Support the care plans and behavioural strategies in place.
