Job summary

Turning Point is recruiting a Support Worker to help adults with learning disabilities across England. You will support daily living skills, accompany residents on activities, and assist with personal care as part of a 24-hour service requiring waking nights.

We value passionate, caring individuals who are flexible, patient, and team-spirited. Driving and access to a vehicle are required to reach assignments.

Qualifications

• Passionate, caring and enthusiastic.
• Flexible, patient and non-judgemental.

• Able to demonstrate good communication skills.
• Able to complete the physical aspects of the role such as manual handling where needed.

Responsibilities

• Promoting the independence of people we support.
• Supporting daily activities including cleaning, cooking, and outings.
• Arranging activities in the home and local community.
• Developing residents' life skills and personal interests.
• Helping residents stay safe and healthy.
• Assisting with personal care needs (close personal care is a requirement).
• Manual handling as required.
• Supporting people with medication.
• Maintaining records to required standards and contributing to monitoring.
