Shaw Trust is recruiting a BANK Waking Night Support Worker to safeguard and support young people during night hours in Bedford. You will assist with night routines, handle incidents, and ensure seamless handover to day staff.

This role requires patience, compassion, and strong communication, with a UK driving license. You will work 4 nights on, 4 nights off from 9pm to 8am, on a zero-hours contract, with a competitive hourly rate and benefits.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and patient approach to youth care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stay calm during challenging situations
• Willingness to complete QCF Level 3 training

Responsabilités

• Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of young people in our care throughout the night.
• Support with night-time routines and manage incidents when they occur.
• Provide thorough handover to the day shift.
• Support daily routines, household tasks and meal preparation.
• Encourage participation in community activities and hobbies.
• Transport young people to school, medical appointments, and activities.
• Maintain accurate records and paperwork.
• Be flexible rotating weekends and bank holidays.
• Work 4 nights on, 4 nights off from 9pm to 8am.
