Job summary

Heart and Home Living is seeking a Waking Night Residential Support Worker in Barnet to provide dedicated care for children, with hours from 10pm to 8am on a 2-week rolling rota (4 on 4 off). You will act as a key worker, support education, and ensure safeguarding and regulatory compliance.

The role requires developing plans, recording progress, and liaising with families and professionals. A full driving licence and commitment to safeguarding are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in a residential setting.
• Experience managing challenging behaviour and complex needs.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, colleagues and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Work as a positive role model and maintain professional standards to promote good relationships and therapeutic care.
• Maintain routines, limits and boundaries and teach action and consequence.
• Act as key worker to allocated children and contribute to care planning and reviews.
• Support educational development and learning opportunities within the home.
• Collaborate with parents, social workers and partner agencies in the interests of the young people.
• Keep accurate records and follow safeguarding policies and procedures.
