Job summary

New Forest Care Ltd in Southampton is hiring Waking Night Support Workers to join our family-style homes (up to 4 residents). You will work with our teams to provide a safe, caring overnight environment and support young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

You will be compassionate, resilient and able to work on a two-week rota (40 hours). Training provided, DBS check, and opportunities for professional development, including funded qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for vulnerable young people in residential settings is desirable.
• Patience, resilience and a positive role model for young people.
• Ability to work independently during night shifts with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Guide and support young people in line with their individual needs.
• Ensure safety and safeguard young people and staff during night shifts.
• Remain awake and alert throughout the shift and take initiative.
• Monitor attendance of residents and maintain privacy.
