Job summary

Black Country Housing Group is seeking a part-time waking night Support Worker for a 12-month maternity cover. You will support adults with complex needs, helping with personal care, domestic tasks, and care plan recording, while maintaining budget awareness.

The role requires experience with learning disabilities, good record-keeping, and a commitment to quality care within a not-for-profit housing context. Weekend and bank holiday enhancements are offered.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the needs and rights of people with learning disabilities.
• Understanding of the Supporting People and Quality Assessment Framework.
• Experience in working with people with learning disabilities is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Build professional relationships with tenants and support their identity and self-esteem.
• Assist with personal hygiene and care as needed.
• Support with domestic duties as needed.
• Help develop care and support plans tailored to each tenant.
• Report concerns to senior staff promptly.
• Keep accurate records of medication, care and daily events.
