Job summary

CareTech is recruiting a Waking Night Support Worker for its Cottenham service near Cambridge to support adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. This permanent, full-time 30-hour-per-week role involves night shifts in a rota that covers evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

We offer full training, a structured induction, DBS paid for by CareTech and opportunities for ongoing professional development within a supportive care environment. Category D1 driving is essential.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work towards Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis.
• Category D1 Drivers is essential.
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech).

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans.
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required.
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
• Support activities, appointments, and community access.
• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team.
• Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins.
