Job summary

Paragon Social Care is seeking a Children's Support Worker to help young people in residential settings across Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire. You will provide safe, trauma‑informed support, build trust, and promote independence while helping achieve individual goals.

This role requires a Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, and the ability to work 2–3 shifts per week. DBS checks are mandatory; we offer flexible shifts, ongoing training, a pension scheme, and clear career progression

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• Access to your own vehicle for work.
• Ability to work a minimum of 2–3 shifts per week.
• Willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS check.
• NVQ Level 3 in Children's Residential Care or equivalent.
• Previous experience supporting children or young people (paid or voluntary).

About the Role

As a Children's Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs within residential settings and community-based support packages.

This is a hands‑on role where you'll help provide structure, consistency and positive role modelling while supporting young people to achieve their individual goals.

Whether it's helping with daily routines, encouraging independence, supporting education, or simply being a trusted adult during difficult moments, your work will have a genuine impact.
