Job summary

Paragon Social Care in Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire is hiring a Children's Support Worker to assist young people in residential and community settings. The role focuses on providing stable, trauma-informed support and helping individuals reach personal goals.

You will work 2–3 shifts per week, using effective communication with young people and professionals, and you may need to drive a company vehicle to support activities and transport. DBS checks are required.

Qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence required.
  • Access to your own vehicle for work.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 2-3 shifts per week.
  • Willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, trauma-informed support to children and young people.

About the Role

As a Children's Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs within residential settings and community-based support packages.

This is a hands-on role where you'll help provide structure, consistency and positive role modelling while supporting young people to achieve their individual goals.

Whether it's helping with daily routines, encouraging independence, supporting education, or simply being a trusted adult during difficult moments, your work will have a genuine impact.
