Job summary

Active Assistance is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker to care for a teenage girl with complex health needs in her family home in North Somercotes, Lincolnshire. The role runs on waking nights (11pm–8am) with a focus on personal care, mobility support, and monitoring of clinical equipment.

Training is provided and you will work with another support worker as part of a dedicated team. The position is offered on a flexible zero-hours contract, with regular weekly shifts and rotas planned in

Qualifications

  • Experience in overnight care for a teenage client with complex health needs.
  • Full specialist training provided.
  • Ability to monitor and support a client with neuro disabilites, scoliosis, respiratory difficulties and epilepsy.

Responsibilities

  • Stay awake during waking nights (11pm–8am) to monitor and support the client.
  • Assist with personal care, moving and handling and use of clinical equipment.
  • Work alongside a second support worker to provide consistent care.
  • Follow rotas and maintain a stable pattern of shifts with the same client.

Our client has a complex neuro disabiloity, scoliosis, respiratory difficulties, epilepsy, gastrostomy tube and she is non-verbal.This role is to stay awake overnight to monitor and support her with all her needs to include personal care, moving and handling and managing clinical equipment. You will be working alongside another support worker at all times.
