Job summary

Cambian Group Plc is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker to join our Beech Care service in New Romney, Kent. The role covers weekends and other rota-based shifts, delivering person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs.

You will assist with daily living, promote independence, and maintain records within a supportive team. Full training is provided, with progression opportunities and DBS enhancement required.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to work towards Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
  • Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis.
  • Drivers desirable but not essential.
  • Enhanced DBS required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans.
  • Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required.
  • Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
  • Support activities, appointments, and community access.
  • Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team.

Waking Night Support Worker - Weekend shifts

Location: New Romney, Kent
Rate: £13.03 per hour
Permanent | Full-time | 24 hours per week (rota-based)

About the Service – Beech Care

Beech Care is situated in a quiet residential area of New Romney and is within easy reach of the amenities. Beech Care is a bungalow, a residential service supporting service users with physical disabilities and learning disabilities. The service users enjoy visiting the local amenities, having a stroll down to the beach, going swimming, bowling, and going out for meals and picnics. The kitchen has been adapted with easy access for the service users go into the kitchen to do cooking/ baking. Beech care has its own sensory room for the service users to enjoy relaxing music and lights.

Beech Care currently supports 5 service users 4 female and 1 male, they need support with physical disabilities. Some are wheelchair bound and they need hoisting. Some are non verbal.

Access to the garden is via a ramp, service users enjoy using the trampoline and looking after the sensory garden.

The Role
You will:
  • Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans

  • Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins
Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.

No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we’ll provide full training and a structured induction programme.
