Job summary

Real Life Options is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker for Longcroft Care Home in Falkirk, UK. The role is 36 hours full-time with a night shift, paid at £13.45 per hour. A PVG check is required and staff training is provided.

The successful candidate will work independently at night, supported by a broader team, ensuring safety, dignity, and the wellbeing of individuals in their own homes.

As a Waking Night Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in providing reassurance, safety, and support through the night—helping people feel secure and cared for when it matters most.

What Your Night Will Look Like

No two nights are the same, but your role will include:

• Providing overnight support, including personal care where required
• Monitoring wellbeing and ensuring a safe, calm environment
• Administering medication in line with support plans
• Completing regular checks and accurate record-keeping
• Responding to any needs or emergencies with confidence and care
• Supporting individuals to maintain their independence and dignity

You’ll work independently during the night, with the reassurance of being part of a wider, supportive team.

Important Information

This role is Regulated Work with Vulnerable Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. A PVG check is required.
