Job summary

CareTech is recruiting a Waking Night Support Worker to join Kingston House in Canterbury. You will provide person-centred support for adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs, delivering daily living assistance and promoting independence during night shifts.

The role requires a driving licence, willingness to work unsociable hours, and an Enhanced DBS check. 28 days holiday and ongoing training are part of the benefits package.

Waking Night Support Worker - Must be a driver

Location: Kingston, Canterbury

Rate: £13.03 per hour

Permanent | Part-time | 24 hours per week (Shifts on Monday and Tuesday)

We may be unable to support applications where Home Office visa restrictions prevent candidates from meeting the full contractual hours or requirements of the role.

About the Service - Kingston House

Kingston is a warm, happy care home, with a large country garden accessible to residents, which provides care and support for up to 8 people. The support we offer for are Learning Disabilities, Downs Syndrome, non-weight bearing, dementia, elderly, skin integrity control, full nutritional support, full continence support and peg feeding. The staff and service users make the most of the beautiful space Kingston offers by enjoying summer BBQs and personalized in house events.

Rated good by CQC, the service is located in Kingston, Canterbury in Kent. Please note the public transport can be an issue to this service as the bus is not a regular service.

Drivers are therefore preferable unless you can get to the service with no problems to start morning shifts at 8am and with afternoon shifts if you are able to get transport home in the evening when a shift finishes at 9pm.

The Role
You will:

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.

No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we’ll provide full training and a structured induction programme.
