Job summary

Agincare in Bromley is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker to provide person-centred care for adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. The role supports individuals during night hours ensuring safety, comfort and meaningful stays.

You will work on a night shift from 10pm to 7am, help with daily living tasks, and contribute to recording changes. Training and development are offered as part of a values-driven team.

Qualifications

  • Experience in care settings preferred.
  • Ability to engage with people with complex needs.
  • Able to handle night shifts and shifts from 10pm to 7am.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily living activities, including personal care, meals, budgeting and routines.
  • Communicate effectively using residents' preferred methods.
  • Engage residents to enhance quality of life and promote independence.
  • Provide support with behavioural approaches when needed.
  • Keep accurate records and report changes to management.
  • Work as part of a team and use initiative when needed.

Where you'll be working: Bromley We provide short-break and respite care for adults with learning disabilities and learning difficulties at our welcoming residential service in Bromley. Our dedicated team supports individuals to enjoy a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment during their stay, while promoting independence, wellbeing, and person-centred care. This rewarding service offers vital support to both the people we care for and their families, delivering high-quality short-term residential stays that encourage choice, dignity, and meaningful experiences. We are looking for Waking Night S upport Worker to join our amazing team, and to continue delivering outstanding outcomes.

  • Supporting - Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.
  • Communicating - effectively communicate using people's chosen methods
  • Engaging - promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life
  • Specialising - supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches.
  • Recording - keeping accurate records &reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management.
  • Team player - Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
