Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking a dedicated Support Worker with NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care to assist one client with complex needs at home in Wales. The role covers waking night shifts 9pm–8am on Saturdays and Sundays, with a flexible zero-hours contract and regular weekly rotas.

Job description

Are you a dedicated Support Worker with your NVQ Level 3 in Health and social care? Role Type: Waking nights available (every other weekend saturday & sunday) Please note: We do have other packages nearby if you would like to boost your weekly working hours.

Meet our Client: Our client is a vibrant soul who sustained an acquired brain injury (ABI) following a choking incident. Though non-verbal, his personality beams through every smile, every tear, and every shared moment. He lives independently in his own home and is supported by a close-knit, loving family who are actively involved in his care journey. He’s a wheelchair user, has a PEG, and requires full personal care with double-handed support. Communication is beautifully unique—he understands both Welsh and English and responds with expressive smiles or tears. If you’re someone who can "read between the lines" and connect beyond words, you’ll thrive in this role.

Hours:

Waking Night shifts 9pm-8am every other weekend shifts Saturday and Sunday's. In this role, you’ll support one individual with complex needs as part of a consistent care team, with regular weekly shifts and rotas planned in advance. While the role is offered on a flexible zero-hours contract, the work is ongoing and typically provides a stable working pattern with the same client.

What you will Need:

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and social care or equivalent


• Kind, patient, and emotionally intelligent


• Open to a warm meet & greet with the client and his family before starting

What to look forward to:

• Up to £14 per hour depending on NVQ qualification


• You’ll also receive an additional 14.07% holiday pay on every hour worked
