Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking an experienced Residential Support Worker to cover waking night shifts in a children’s residential home in the East Midlands. Shifts run from 10pm to 7am on a flexible, ad hoc basis, with support for young people with a variety of needs while following individual care plans.

The successful candidate will safeguard, record accurately and respond calmly to challenges. PAYE earnings at £14.25–£15.00 per hour, with market leading pay and CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a children\'s residential care setting.
• Experience supporting young people with additional needs, challenging behaviours or complex trauma.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and ability to maintain a safe environment.
• Caring, patient and resilient approach to supporting vulnerable young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide support during waking night shifts (10pm–7am).
• Follow individual care plans and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure safety, wellbeing and emotional security of young people during the night.
