Job summary

Abbeycare Ltd seeks dedicated Waking Night Support Workers to assist individuals in their own homes during overnight hours. You will stay awake, perform welfare checks, and provide personal care and night-time support in a compassionate, person-centred manner.

Role involves 10–12 hour night shifts, with availability across Monday to Sunday. NVQ2/3 in Health and Social Care and a full UK driving licence are desirable. Flexible full-time or part-time options available in Sheffield.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Experience in a care/support setting preferred
• Willingness to work night shifts and weekends

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight supervision and support to individuals’ safety and wellbeing
• Carry out regular welfare checks and respond to needs promptly
• Assist with personal care during the night when required
• Administer medication in line with policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate records and night logs
• Keep the home environment safe, clean and secure
• Support individuals who wake during the night with reassurance
