Job summary

Active Assistance, part of the UK’s largest provider of complex care, is seeking a Female Night Support Worker in York. You will provide one-to-one, person-centred care on 12-hour waking night shifts, building meaningful relationships and supporting daily living with specialist training provided.

The role is on a flexible zero-hours contract with ongoing work and regular rotas. A strong commitment to high-quality care and compassionate support is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide 12-hour waking night shifts (21:00–09:00) delivering one-to-one care.
• Support with all aspects of daily living and personal care.
• Deliver specialist clinical support with full training provided.
• Prepare meals and support household routines.
• Encourage client engagement in outings, hobbies and activities.
• Build trusting relationships through consistent care and communication.
• Follow policies, safeguarding requirements and professional standards.
