Job summary

Daish’s Holidays is seeking enthusiastic Restaurant Waiting Staff to provide friendly, efficient service in our all-year-round operations across 11 hotels in the UK. You will welcome guests, liaise with the kitchen, and ensure dietary requirements are communicated clearly to chefs, contributing to a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.

The role includes evenings, weekends and bank holidays. No strict experience is required, just a positive attitude and a willingness to deliver excellent guest

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or waiting experience is helpful but not essential.
• Positive attitude and enjoy working with people to provide a great guest experience.
• Friendly, approachable and confident when speaking with guests.
• Good communicators who can work effectively with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, attentive and efficient service to guests.
• Welcome guests and ensure they have everything they need during their meal.
• Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure meals are served smoothly and dietary requests are communicated.
• Ensure dietary requirements are identified and conveyed to the chefs.
• Respond to guest requests and help resolve issues.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming dining environment.

What will you be doing?

Our dining rooms operate a little differently to a typical restaurant. With the exception of arrival days, our guests pre-order their evening meals, meaning you'll know what is being served in advance and can focus on providing friendly, efficient service.

Our meals are prepared and ready to go at 6:30pm, when our guests arrive for dinner, helping to create a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for everyone.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing friendly, attentive and efficient service to our guests.
• Welcoming guests into the dining room and ensuring they have everything they need throughout their meal.
• Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure meals are served efficiently and guest requirements are communicated clearly.
• Ensuring all dietary requirements are correctly identified and communicated to the chefs.
• Responding positively to guest requests and helping to resolve any issues.
• Working confidently both independently and as part of a team.
• Helping to maintain a clean, tidy and welcoming dining environment.
• Providing the excellent customer service that Daish’s is known for.

What are we looking for?

Previous restaurant or waiting experience is helpful but isn't essential. We're looking for people with a positive attitude who enjoy working with people and want to provide a great experience for our guests.
