Job summary

Daish’s Holidays is seeking enthusiastic Restaurant Waiting Staff for all-year-round roles in its hotels across the UK. The role includes evenings, weekends and bank holidays, with opportunities to develop within our friendly team and take advantage of employee benefits.

You will provide friendly, attentive service, welcome guests, and coordinate with the kitchen to meet dietary needs while maintaining a clean dining area and delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or waiting experience is helpful but isn't essential.
• Positive and upbeat with a willingness to get involved.
• Good communicators who can work with colleagues.

Responsibilities

What will you be doing?

Our dining rooms operate a little differently to a typical restaurant. With the exception of arrival days, our guests pre-order their evening meals, meaning you'll know what is being served in advance and can focus on providing friendly, efficient service.

Our meals are prepared and ready to go at 6:30pm, when our guests arrive for dinner, helping to create a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for everyone.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing friendly, attentive and efficient service to our guests.
• Welcoming guests into the dining room and ensuring they have everything they need throughout their meal.
• Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure meals are served efficiently and guest requirements are communicated clearly.
• Ensuring all dietary requirements are correctly identified and communicated to the chefs.
• Responding positively to guest requests and helping to resolve any issues.
• Working confidently both independently and as part of a team.
• Helping to maintain a clean, tidy and welcoming dining environment.
• Providing the excellent customer service that Daish’s is known for.

What are we looking for?

Previous restaurant or waiting experience is helpful but isn't essential. We're looking for people with a positive attitude who enjoy working with people and want to provide a great experience for our guests.
