Job summary

Bettys & Taylors in Harrogate (Harlow Carr) is seeking a Waiter or Waitress to join our Front of House team on a fixed-term basis from October 2026 to July 2027. You will provide the highest level of service to deliver a deliciously magical experience for every customer, while working at pace and supporting busy service.

You should have strong customer service and communication skills, enjoy teamwork, and be keen to learn the dishes on our menu.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer-facing environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and health and safety procedures is desirable but not essential as full training is provided.

Job description

An opportunity has arisen in our Front of House team and we are looking for a Waiter or Waitress to join us on a fixed term basis as part of our team at Harlow Carr. As a Waiter or Waitress you will be responsible for providing the highest level of service to deliver a deliciously magical experience for every customer whilst working at pace.

Working pattern

• This is a Full Time role working a minimum of 30 hours over 5 days.
• We have a variety of shift patterns with start and finish times staggered throughout the day which is dependent on the opening hours of the branch.
• These shifts may include some early mornings or later finishes.
• You will be required to work at least one day at the weekend every week.
• This will be a fixed term role from October 2026 - July 2027.

About you

You will have a keen interest in customer service and the ability to work at pace. You will need to have good communication skills and be able to work well with others as we rely on our strong team ethic to deliver the highest levels of quality and customer service. You will be passionate about learning the dishes on our menu to share your knowledge with our customers. Previous experience working in a customer facing environment is a must, ideally within a hospitality business. Knowledge of food safety and health and safety procedures is desirable but not essential as full training is provided.
