Waiter/Waitress – Join the Team at Jang
Join the team at Engel & Jang, an exceptional restaurant, bar & events space situated on the Mezzanine of the iconic Royal Exchange in the heart of the City of London.
We are looking for an experienced, passionate and personable Waiter/Waitress to join our Front of House team. Start date: September 2026.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills and a natural ability to connect with guests. You will play an important role in creating a memorable dining experience by delivering warm, professional and consistently high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide warm, professional and attentive service to all guests.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain excellent knowledge of our food and drinks menus, including ingredients and allergens.
- Confidently make recommendations and guide guests through our menu.
- Serve food and beverages to consistently high standards.
- Anticipate guest needs and ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.
- Work closely with the kitchen, bar and wider Front of House team to ensure efficient service.
- Prepare and maintain tables and service areas to a high standard.
- Assist with private events and functions when required.
- Follow all health & safety, food hygiene and company procedures.
- Deliver consistently high standards of hospitality and guest service.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Waiter or in a similar Front of House role within a quality restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Warm, confident and professional personality.
- Highly motivated, proactive and enthusiastic approach.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a busy Front of House team.
- A natural hospitality professional who enjoys interacting with guests.
- Good knowledge of food, wine and beverages is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent service standards.
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
The Role
- £16.27 per hour.
- 40-hour contract.
- Monday to Saturday operation - we are closed on Sundays.
