Engel & Jang, an exceptional restaurant, bar & events space situated on the Mezzanine of the iconic Royal Exchange in the heart of the City of London, is seeking an experienced Waiter/Waitress to join our Front of House team. Start date: September 2026.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills and a natural ability to connect with guests, delivering warm, professional and consistently high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Waiter or in a Front of House role in a quality restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, confident and professional personality with guest focus.
• Motivated, proactive and enthusiastic approach to service.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy Front of House team.
• Enjoy interacting with guests and delivering hospitality.
• Good knowledge of food, wine and beverages is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining service standards.
• Must have the legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

Join the team at Engel & Jang, an exceptional restaurant, bar & events space situated on the Mezzanine of the iconic Royal Exchange in the heart of the City of London.

We are looking for an experienced, passionate and personable Waiter/Waitress to join our Front of House team. Start date: September 2026.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills and a natural ability to connect with guests. You will play an important role in creating a memorable dining experience by delivering warm, professional and consistently high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide warm, professional and attentive service to all guests.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain excellent knowledge of our food and drinks menus, including ingredients and allergens.
• Confidently make recommendations and guide guests through our menu.

The Role

• £16.27 per hour.
• 40-hour contract.
• Monday to Saturday operation - we are closed on Sundays.
