Job summary

Delano London is seeking an exceptional Waiter/Waitress to join the pre-opening team at Lana Lusa, the all‑day restaurant. You will deliver warm, intuitive service, build product knowledge and contribute to creating a memorable guest experience from day one.

Based in London, you will join a creative, ambitious team within a globally inspired brand, with opportunities to grow as Delano London shapes its culture and service style.

Qualifications

• Experience waiting in premium restaurants, luxury hotels, or high-quality hospitality environments.
• Warm, confident and attentive demeanor with strong guest focus.
• Ability to learn menus, allergens and ingredients quickly.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive table service from arrival to departure.
• Learn food and beverage menus, allergens and preparation methods to guide guests.
• Take orders accurately and make recommendations to enhance experience and spend.
• Manage your section with timing, table maintenance, and guest cues.
• Communicate with Culinary, bar, runners and managers to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare your section and maintain presentation, cleanliness and mise en place.
• Identify allergies, dietary requirements, celebrations and VIPs; relay to service team.
• Handle POS entries and payments following cash procedures.
• Respond to guest feedback and involve senior team members when needed.
• Support other Food & Beverage areas when required.
• Follow food safety, Health & Safety and service standards.

Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Waiter / Waitress to join the pre-opening team of Delano London. Based primarily in Lana Lusa, our all-day restaurant, you'll help create an effortless guest experience through warm, intuitive service, strong product knowledge and genuine personality.

What you'll do...

• Welcome guests warmly and deliver attentive table service from arrival through to farewell.
• Build confident knowledge of the food and beverage menus, ingredients, allergens and preparation methods so you can guide guests naturally.
• Take orders accurately, make thoughtful recommendations and use your product knowledge to enhance the experience and average spend.
• Manage your section with strong attention to timing, table maintenance, check-backs and guest cues.
• Communicate clearly with Culinary, bar, runners and managers to ensure orders are accurate and service flows smoothly.
• Prepare your section before service and maintain excellent presentation, cleanliness and mise en place throughout the shift.
• Recognise and communicate allergies, dietary requirements, celebrations, VIPs and special requests.
• Handle POS entries and payments accurately and follow cash and company procedures.
• Respond positively to guest feedback and involve a senior team member when support is required.
• Support Private Dining, Room Service, Rose Bar or other Food & Beverage areas when needed.
• Follow food safety, Health & Safety and all relevant service standards.

Qualifications

What we're looking for...

• You have previous waiting experience in a premium restaurant, luxury hotel or high-quality hospitality environment, or the attitude and potential to succeed in one.
• You are warm, confident and naturally attentive, with a genuine interest in people and hospitality.
• You enjoy learning about food, wine and beverages and sharing that knowledge without sounding scripted.
• You are organised, quick on your feet and able to manage multiple priorities while keeping your composure.
• You are a collaborative team player who communicates clearly and takes pride in the details.
• You are flexible to work breakfast, evenings, weekends and key hospitality moments.
