Job summary

Delano London is seeking a Room Service Attendant for the pre-opening team. You will deliver food, drinks and thoughtful moments directly to guest rooms with warmth, discretion and precision.

Ideal candidates have prior room service or luxury hotel experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team. This role requires flexibility across a 24-hour operation, including weekends.

• Previous Room Service, waiting or luxury hotel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Room Service orders promptly and accurately.
• Set up trays and trolleys in guest rooms and assist guests as needed.
• Know menus, beverages, allergens and dietary requirements to advise guests.
• Operate service equipment to protect food quality and presentation.
• Coordinate with order takers, Culinary and supervisors and relay guest requests.

Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Room Service Attendant to join the pre-opening team of Delano London. You'll deliver food, drinks and thoughtful moments directly to our guests' rooms, combining precision and discretion with the warm, intuitive style of hospitality that defines Delano.

What you'll do...

• Deliver Room Service orders promptly and accurately, checking the room number, order and presentation before leaving the service area.
• Set up trays and trolleys beautifully in the guest room, explain dishes when appropriate and ensure the guest has everything they need.
• Build confident knowledge of menus, beverages, allergens and dietary requirements so you can answer questions and make recommendations.
• Use hot boxes, trolleys and service equipment correctly to protect food quality, temperature and presentation.
• Coordinate closely with the order taker, Culinary and supervisor and communicate delays or guest requests immediately.
• Complete follow-up and tray or trolley collection efficiently while respecting guest privacy and preferences.
• Process POS postings, payments and signatures accurately in line with company procedures.
• Support VIP amenities, special occasions, minibar or Private Dining tasks when operationally required.
• Maintain equipment, service areas, linen and supplies in excellent condition and complete all mise en place and cleaning duties.
• Follow food safety, Health & Safety, security and guest privacy procedures at all times.

Qualifications

What we're looking for...

• You have previous Room Service, waiting or luxury hotel experience, or the attitude and potential to succeed in the role.
• You are warm, discreet and confident entering guest rooms and understand the importance of privacy and professionalism.
• You have excellent attention to detail and take pride in presentation and accuracy.
• You are comfortable working independently while staying closely connected to the wider team.
• You communicate clearly, remain calm under pressure and respond positively to guest requests.
• You are flexible to work across a 24-hour operation, including early mornings, nights, weekends and key hospitality moments.
