Job summary

Delano London, opening in late 2026, invites a Food Runner to join the pre-opening team. You will work closely with the restaurant and Culinary teams to ensure dishes reach guests quickly, accurately and beautifully. You will learn the menu, ingredients and allergens, coordinate with the pass and staff, and help maintain service flow and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food promptly from kitchen to table with accurate dish identification
• Learn menu, ingredients and allergens to answer guest questions
• Coordinate with pass, waiters and managers to maintain pacing and communication
• Check plates for presentation and accuracy before leaving the pass
• Support table maintenance, clearing, resetting and water service
• Keep service stations and equipment clean and stocked
• Assist with mise en place and end-of-service cleaning
• Follow allergy procedures and VIP/table-number protocols
• Support other Food & Beverage areas when required

Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Food Runner to join the pre-opening team of Delano London. Working closely with the restaurant and Culinary teams, you'll play a crucial role in the rhythm of service, ensuring every dish reaches the right guest quickly, accurately and beautifully.

What you'll do...

• Deliver food from the kitchen to the correct table and guest promptly, confidently and with accurate dish identification.
• Learn the menu, key ingredients and allergens so you can announce dishes clearly and answer basic guest questions.
• Coordinate closely with the pass, waiters and managers to maintain strong pacing and communication throughout service.
• Check plates for presentation and accuracy before leaving the pass and immediately flag any concerns.
• Support table maintenance, clearing, resetting, water service and other floor tasks as required.
• Keep service stations, trays and equipment clean, organised and fully stocked.
• Assist with pre-service mise en place and end-of-service breakdown and cleaning.
• Pay close attention to allergies, dietary requirements, VIPs and table numbers and follow all communication procedures.
• Support Room Service, Private Dining and other Food & Beverage areas when required.
• Follow food safety, Health & Safety and company standards at all times.

Qualifications

What we're looking for...

• You are energetic, attentive and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Previous experience as a runner or in hospitality is useful but attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are equally important.
• You communicate clearly and enjoy working as part of a close team.
• You have strong attention to detail and can learn table numbers, dishes and service sequences quickly.
• You remain calm and positive under pressure and take pride in doing the small things well.
• You are flexible to work breakfast, evenings, weekends and key hospitality moments.
