Job summary

SMBC Group EMEA is seeking an Assistant Vice President for the Credit Planning & Portfolio Intelligence team to lead data-driven risk analytics and reporting. You will partner with senior stakeholders to deliver insights, build forward-looking projections, and support portfolio transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline.
• CFA qualification or progress toward CFA highly desirable for Risk Intelligence and Predictive Analytics roles.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Risk Intelligence Analysis, Early Warning Analytics and Portfolio Analytics.
• Develop and enhance early warning indicators and quantitative risk signals.
• Build forward-looking financial projection and deterioration analysis.
• Support stress testing methodology, scenario analysis and production.
• Support credit cost forecasting and portfolio risk quantification.
• Conduct deep-dive credit and portfolio risk analysis in collaboration with Lead VP and the team.
• Translate financial analysis and risk signals into actionable portfolio intelligence.
• Deliver Dashboard Production, MI Production and recurring management reporting.
• Support committee materials and executive reporting outputs.
• Maintain reporting standards and improve visualisation quality.
• Validate reporting data and ensure output quality.
• Maintain and enhance data quality across Portfolio DB and reporting datasets.
• Support data governance implementation and reporting control activities.
• Support Reporting Automation and data visualisation.
• Contribute to dashboard development and data model improvements.
• Improve reporting efficiency and control robustness.
• Perform Business Analysis, Process Design and Transformation Implementation.
• Support Global Credit Transformation and other activities.
• Conduct testing and implementation support.
• Maintain process documentation and future-state operating guidance.
