Turbine is seeking a visionary VP of AI to lead AI and computational biology as we scale our Virtual Assay platform. You will build and mentor a world-class team, shape technical strategy, and keep our AI capabilities at the forefront of the field.

Your core mission is to scale reliable Virtual Assay capabilities while deepening our biological understanding and strengthening our competitive position in AI-driven biology.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience overseeing large AI teams.
• Proven track record deploying AI inference tools in production.
• Strong network and visibility in the AI community.
• Strategic thinker with ability to translate AI value into product roadmaps.
• Comfort operating where AI, biology, and product intersect, with domain learning ability.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a healthy AI team equipped to deliver current products and anticipate future needs.
• Coach and develop your department to operate as part of a modern product organization.
• Ensure all work streams connect to Virtual Assay development and extract learnings from each initiative.
• Partner with our Lab team to streamline data flow and data requests for model development.
• Drive the strategic direction of Virtual Assay development to differentiate Turbine in the market.
• Collaborate with the CTO to guide development toward zero-shot assay capabilities.
• Represent Turbine at international conferences and raise our AI-driven biology profile.
