Job summary

Evotec in the United Kingdom is seeking a VP Head of AI to lead the AI Accelerator, the consolidated AI capability across In Silico & AI. You will turn proprietary discovery data and frontier models into predictive AI tools and reusable IP that inform multiple programmes.

The role is the senior technical voice for AI in drug discovery, setting the vision, governance and partnerships while building a high‑calibre, globally distributed team.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in ML, CS, computational biology, chemistry, physics, engineering or mathematics.
• Significant senior leadership experience in AI/Data Science within biotech/pharma discovery.
• Proven track record delivering AI-enabled models at scale with measurable impact.
• Extensive knowledge of drug discovery and multi-omics data.
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the AI Accelerator as the consolidated ML/AI capability for Evotec's in silico function.
• Set the AI vision and multi-year roadmap, and govern build/buy/partner decisions.
• Deliver scalable predictive models for ADMET, safety and molecular properties.
• Generate AI-driven hypotheses feeding Disease-to-Target pipelines.
• Represent Evotec as a technical leader in AI-powered drug discovery externally.
• Build and retain senior AI talent and set group standards.
