Job summary

Mizuho in London is seeking a Vice President to lead client relationship management and origination within the Alternative Investment Managers sector, working closely with the wider FIG Coverage team.

You will drive strategy, assess credit risk, prepare high‑quality pitches, and coordinate with product partners across international offices to support cross‑sell opportunities in derivatives, structured finance, leverage finance, project finance, and advisory services.

Qualifications

• Sector knowledge and experience of FIG / AIM particularly fund finance and cross sell.
• Direct client coverage experience, preferred to have run own client portfolio.
• Prior experience in a Corporate or Investment Bank in a client-facing FIG role/team.
• Track record of achieving good client outcomes.
• Experience in monitoring and managing global credit lines.
• Ability to interpret and analyse financial statements.
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with internal/external stakeholders.
• Excellent time management and organisation skills.
• Team oriented with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a portfolio of AIM clients within FIG coverage.
• Identify and originate opportunities from existing and prospective clients.
• Prepare briefing papers, client plans, and memos; support credit applications.
• Maintain client activity data and pipeline in CRM.
• Coordinate client transactions with product groups and functions.
• Support senior leadership in strategy and planning.
• Demonstrate sound credit risk judgement as a first line of defence.
• Build strong relationships with Credit, Product teams and management.
