Job summary

Metis Search partnered with a Bulge-Bracket Investment bank seeking to reinforce its FIG M&A team in London. The role offers meaningful responsibility, direct senior exposure, and the opportunity to own high-profile transactions from day one.

Ideal candidates have roughly 2.5–7 years in FIG M&A, with exposure to Banks, Asset & Wealth Management, or Insurance, and strong financial modelling and presentation skills for client materials.

Qualifications

  • 2.5–7 years experience in M&A within FIG Investment banking.
  • Exposure across Banks, Asset and Wealth Management or Insurance.
  • Strong technical foundation in financial modelling and valuation.
  • Demonstrated transaction experience with the ability to run workstreams independently.
  • Commercially minded, resourceful, and comfortable working in small teams.
  • Clear and confident communicator with strong presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or support the execution of sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions within the FIG space.
  • Produce financial models and valuations, including DDM, LBO, and comparables.
  • Prepare high-quality client presentations, information memoranda, and marketing materials.
  • Develop relationships with management teams, advisers, and investors to support origination efforts.
  • Manage or conduct financial and commercial due diligence processes with external advisers.
  • Work on strategic advisory and transaction execution & manage workstreams.
