Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Vice President in London to lead day-to-day execution on live transactions within the EMEA Energy coverage team.

You will manage analysts and associates, partner closely with senior bankers, and collaborate with cross-border product teams (M&A, ECM, DCM, LevFin, Ratings) to deliver best-in-class advice. The role focuses on origination and execution of complex deals across energy subsectors, with mentorship of juniors and a strong emphasis on client relationships and

Qualifications

• Significant Investment Banking experience with a strong track record in Energy across products.
• Proven project leadership and ability to manage cross-border transactions under tight timelines.
• Advanced quantitative and analytical abilities with expert Excel modelling.
• Demonstrated origination contribution and relationship development.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive ownership mindset; highly organised, detail-oriented and decisive.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; advanced degree a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead origination and execution of complex M&A and capital markets transactions.
• Oversee financial analysis, valuation and modelling.
• Develop and present strategic advice to clients at board level.
• Coordinate workstreams with internal product partners and external advisers.
• Drive marketing initiatives, pitches and thought leadership.
• Mentor and develop junior team members; support recruiting.
• Ensure high-quality deliverables and strong client relationships.
