Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. IPB Technology AIML team is seeking a hands-on Lead DevOps/SRE Engineer at VP level.

You will own automation, reliability, and production operations of our AI/ML platforms, building CI/CD pipelines, observability, and incident-management practices that keep services stable, secure, and performant across international markets. Reporting to the Head of AI, IPB Tech, you will mentor engineers, implement IaC, security controls, and collaborate with platform, data, and AI teams

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering or systems concepts.
• Advanced proficiency with Terraform and Python/shell.
• Deep hands-on CI/CD experience at scale.
• Strong Kubernetes and cloud-native operations experience.
• Proven production services reliability, incident response, and on-call.
• Understanding of production security and change management.
• Strong communication to set operational standards.
• SRE experience in regulated/high-availability environments.
• Master's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Owns and evolves CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and deployment tooling.
• Establishes reliability practices (SLOs, error budgets, runbooks) and leads production incident response and post-incident review.
• Builds and operates observability across AI/ML services (metrics, logging, tracing, alerting).
• Automates infrastructure provisioning and configuration through infrastructure-as-code.
• Implements operational security, secrets management, and access controls to firm-wide standards.
• Partners with platform, data, and AI engineers to harden services for production and reduce dependency on external functions.
• Mentors junior engineers on DevOps and reliability practices and sets standards through review.
• Champions the firm's culture of diversity, Opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
