Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a hands-on Lead DevOps / SRE Engineer - Vice President to own automation, reliability, and production operations for AI/ML services. You will build CI/CD, observability, and incident-management practices across international markets.

Leverage Terraform, Kubernetes, and cloud-native tooling to scale release automation and reliability, while mentoring engineers and enforcing security and change-management standards.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering or systems concepts.
• Advanced proficiency with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and scripting (Python/shell).
• Deep hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling and release automation at scale.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, containerisation, and cloud-native operations.
• Proven production services experience: observability, on-call, incident response, reliability engineering.
• Understanding of production security and change-management controls.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Owns and evolves the team's CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and deployment tooling.
• Establishes reliability practices (SLOs, error budgets, runbooks) and leads production incident response and post-incident review.
• Builds and operates observability across AI/ML services (metrics, logging, tracing, alerting).
• Automates infrastructure provisioning and configuration through infrastructure-as-code.
• Implements operational security, secrets management, and access controls to firm-wide standards.
• Mentors junior engineers on DevOps and reliability practices and sets standards through review.
• Champions diversity, inclusion, and respect within the team.
