Job summary

WPP Media seeks an experienced VP Engineering Excellence (Solution Architect) to lead architecture and engineering excellence for a key data-driven client. Based in the UK, you will align data pipelines, datasets and reporting workflows to client needs and performance goals.

You will collaborate across OpenDoor teams, leveraging dbt, Adverity and AWS services to scale solutions while guiding delivery and governance across engineering, BI and data-excellence teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a solution architecture or engineering leader in media data and technology.
• Able to own deadlines and ensure quality in delivery.
• Hands-on with dbt, Adverity and AWS data services for pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a major client to deliver large-scale digital transformation programmes.
• Lead a multi-faceted Engineering/BI team to design and govern data pipelines on AWS.
• Collaborate with BI, Data Excellence, Activation, Client Service and Planning teams to enable delivery.
• Develop expertise in WPP Media’s internal data tooling and landscape for scalable designs.
• Document solution architecture and translate business needs into integrated designs.
