Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Control Group Manager – Compliance, Vice President, to lead information barriers, surveillance and regulatory interpretation across UK/US jurisdictions. You will supervise a team, engage with senior stakeholders and drive risk controls within the Compliance function.

The role requires extensive experience in governance, regulatory requirements and cross-unit collaboration, with a focus on maintaining strict information barriers and market conduct standards.

Qualifications

• Typically, 8+ years' relevant experience.
• University graduate or equivalent degree in business, accounting or law.
• The candidate will already be operating at a Vice President level with recent Control Group experience.
• Familiarity with UK/US compliance issues and relevant laws, including insider dealing and Information Barriers.
• Solid working knowledge of Research, Investment Banking and Capital Markets and related regulatory areas.
• Professional, articulate with strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Good communication skills to present to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Information Barriers/Conflict Management: monitor and enforce controls.
• Advice and Interpretation: apply Morgan Stanley policies and regulatory requirements.
• Other: participate in system IT projects, audits, process updates, and risk improvements.
• Hours of Control Group Coverage: support across regional shifts and weekend coverage when needed.
