Job summary

Evotec is seeking a VP Head of AI to lead the AI Accelerator, advancing predictive modelling and agentic workflows in drug discovery. You will define the AI vision, govern model development and drive external partnerships while building a high-impact, diverse team across international sites.

You will own build/buy decisions for AI stacks, ensure governance, and represent Evotec as a leader in AI-powered discovery to the scientific community and partners.

Qualifications

• Recognised technical authority in ML/DL applied to life sciences or drug discovery.
• Experience leading AI, ML or data science functions at senior leadership level.
• Fluent business English and ability to translate AI capability into value for non-specialists.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the AI Accelerator as the consolidated ML, DL and foundation-model capability for in silico units.
• Set a multi-year AI roadmap and translate strategy into a prioritized portfolio of models and capabilities.
• Deliver predictive models for molecular properties, activity, ADMET and safety at scale.
