We are currently seeking a Volunteer Training Manager for a 6-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive training pathway for volunteers, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to perform their roles effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a gap analysis of volunteer training, including mandatory training, reporting mechanisms, content, and support.
  • Establish a volunteer working group with subject matter experts to enhance training.
  • Collaborate with external volunteering organizations to adopt best practices in volunteer training.
  • Support the implementation of a Volunteer Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Design and deliver engaging training programs that boost volunteer engagement and retention.
  • Ensure training is consistent, accessible, and tailored to volunteer needs.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and make improvements based on feedback.

Key Criteria:

  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and delivering training programs.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience creating high-quality training materials.
  • Understanding of volunteer recruitment, induction, and training processes.
  • Experience working with volunteer and learning management systems.
  • Creative and innovative approach to enhancing volunteer training.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week
  • Contract: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract (possibility of extension)
  • Location: Remote (with occasional travel to sites across the UK)
