Job description

To support Alder Hey Children’s Charity with the operational running of our Charity Shops including serving customers, welcoming donors and supporters, and preparing donations for sale. An opportunity to become part of the Alder Hey community and build relationships as well as a chance to harness the skills you have and develop new ones. Great opportunity to develop your confidence and enhance your CV.

Key Activities:

• Working throughout the shop, greeting customers and members of the local community

• Sorting donations to ensure suitable items are sold on the shop floor

• Working on the till; taking payments and handling any queries

• Supporting the retail team to create window displays

• Sorting, hanging, ticketing and sizing donated clothing for sale in the shop

• Support the retail team in maintaining a tidy and clean shop

• Support the retail team during specific events, including our Matalan Pyjama Campaign
