Yorkshire Cancer Research is seeking a Volunteer Retail Assistant to play a vital role in their shops. This role involves providing excellent customer service, sorting donations, and supporting fundraising efforts. Volunteering offers a chance to gain valuable retail experience while contributing to a worthwhile cause.
Whether you’re interested in working front of house welcoming and serving customers, keeping the shop floor tidy and fresh, or organising stock behind the scenes, we encourage you to apply.
This is an excellent opportunity if you want to gain experience in the customer service and retail sector, but it would also suit someone who wishes to use their existing skills. Volunteering in our retail team is a great way to make new friends and have fun. There is no minimum time commitment required from our volunteers, so whether you can spare a few hours a week or once a month, we’ll do our best to offer a role that fits your schedule. No previous experience is necessary, as training will be provided.
What happens next?
If you decide to apply, a member of the volunteering team will contact you to arrange an initial chat with the shop manager. This is not an interview, but a chance to discuss what you'd like to do in the shop. Afterwards, you can meet the rest of the volunteer team and get involved in the area that interests you!
