Job summary

Glasgow Disabled Scouts is a Scottish charity offering the full Scouting experience to young people with disabilities across Glasgow. We're seeking a warm Volunteer Coordinator to welcome new volunteers, guide them through joining and PVG checks, and be a friendly, consistent presence at our Monday evening sessions.

The role averages 14 hours per week, on an 18‑month fixed-term contract with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Experience in volunteer coordination, recruitment, youth work, education or customer service is useful.
• Experience with youth clubs or volunteer-led organisations is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to volunteer enquiries and be the first point of contact.
• Guide volunteers through joining, PVG and training processes.
• Attend volunteer fairs and events to recruit new volunteers.
• Build relationships with schools, colleges and organisations that send volunteers.
• Check in with volunteers and help them feel part of the team.
