Job summary

YMCA Thames Gateway Group is seeking a Voids Technician to deliver maintenance and refurbishment works across the North Region. You will ensure vacant properties are safe, compliant and ready for occupation within target timescales, with a focus on high standards of safety, workmanship and customer service.

The role is permanent full-time, working Monday to Friday 8:00am-4:00pm with on-call requirements; some duties may extend beyond core hours, including weekends and bank holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Maintenance and refurbishment experience across void properties
• Health and safety focused with strong workmanship
• Customer service oriented and able to support wider Property Services operations

We are currently recruiting for a Voids Technician within the North Region to deliver high-quality void maintenance and refurbishment works across the Association's property portfolio within an assigned region (North or South), ensuring vacant accommodation is safe, compliant, and ready for occupation within agreed target timescales.

The role is responsible for completing a broad range of maintenance and repair tasks, maintaining high standards of health and safety, workmanship, and customer service, whilst also supporting wider Property Services operations, reactive repairs, compliance activities, and organisational needs as required.

Summary of Job Profile:

• Contract Type: Permanent-Full Time


• Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm, 37.5 hours per week, excluding Bank Holidays. Including a requirement to be on call at certain times outside of working hours. Occasional requirement to work outside of core hours and at weekends, nights and bank holidays
