Job summary

Bimplus in Havant is seeking an experienced Voids Multi-Trade Operative on a temp-to-perm basis to carry out void property refurbishments and repairs across Havant and surrounding areas.

You will perform carpentry, basic plumbing, tiling, plastering, decorating, and other trades, manage workloads, work independently, and ensure work meets social housing standards and health and safety.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Multi-Trade Operative within social housing or residential maintenance.
• Strong carpentry skills with the ability to carry out additional trade disciplines.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
• Good understanding of social housing maintenance standards.
• Full UK Driving Licence (van provided).
• DBS check required (completed at offer stage).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Kitchen and bathroom fitting experience.
• Flooring installation and repairs.
• Experience completing full void refurbishments from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all aspects of void property maintenance to ensure homes are ready for new tenants.
• Completing a range of carpentry works including door repairs/replacements, kitchen fitting/repairs, skirting and woodwork.
• Undertaking multi-trade repairs including basic plumbing and tiling.
• Patch plastering and decorating to acceptable standards.
• Identifying and resolving property defects within void properties.
• Ensuring work completed to high standard within target turnaround times.
• Using a PDA/mobile device to receive, update, and complete job orders.
• Maintaining excellent health and safety standards at all times.

Responsibilities

Carrying out all aspects of void property maintenance to ensure homes are ready for new tenants.

• Completing a range of carpentry works including:
• Door repairs and replacements
• Kitchen fitting and repairs
• Skirting, architraves, and general woodwork
• Lock changes and repairs
• Undertaking multi-trade repairs including:
• Basic plumbing
• Tiling
• Patch plastering
• Decorating
• Identifying and resolving property defects within void properties.
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within target turnaround times.
• Using a PDA/mobile device to receive, update, and complete job orders.
• Maintaining excellent health and safety standards at all times.

Requirements
