Job summary

Principal Recruitment seeks a Vocational Tutor to support young adults with SEN at a small specialist college in Stanwell, Staines. You'll lead hands-on sessions and help learners gain practical skills for work and life.

Role is term-time only, with weekly pay and temp-to-perm opportunities. A small, supportive college environment allows you to see impact daily and work with a dedicated SEN consultant.

Qualifications

• Practical skills in a vocational area such as horticulture, catering, hospitality, construction or retail.
• Experience teaching, training, assessing or supervising others.
• A patient, warm manner with young adults.
• A child and adult barred list DBS, or willingness to apply.
• SEN experience is a plus, not essential. If you have the skills and the right attitude, we'll support you with the rest
• A driving licence helps, as the site isn't easy to reach by public transport

Are you a Vocational Tutor, trainer or skilled practitioner who wants to help young adults with SEN build skills for life and work? This could be your next step.

We're recruiting a Vocational Tutor for a small, friendly specialist college in Stanwell, Staines. Learners are aged 16 to 25 with SEN and learning disabilities, and learning here is hands on, practical and focused on employability and independence. It's a charity with around 50 learners, so you'll get to know every learner by name.
