Job summary

East Coast College is seeking a Vocational Trainer to support and inspire the next generation of skilled tradespeople in Carpentry and Brickwork. You will manage a caseload of apprentices, conduct progress reviews, and provide coaching to drive successful learning outcomes in collaboration with local employers.

This role requires current industry experience in Brickwork and/or Carpentry, a Level 3 qualification, a TAQA Level 3 (or equivalent Assessor Award), and a solid understanding of

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 qualification in Brickwork and/or Carpentry and possess substantial occupational experience within the construction sector.
• Hold a TAQA Level 3 qualification (or equivalent Assessor Award) and be confident in assessing learners in the workplace.
• Have a strong understanding of apprenticeship standards, learner progress reviews, off-the-job training requirements, and End Point Assessment preparation.
• Demonstrate excellent coaching, mentoring and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with apprentices, employers and colleagues.
• Be passionate about supporting apprentices to achieve their potential while maintaining a strong commitment to safeguarding, promoting welfare, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of apprentices, conducting progress reviews and providing coaching and guidance.
• Monitor workplace development and support learners towards End Point Assessment.
• Collaborate with employers to ensure apprentices receive an outstanding learning experience.
