Job summary

East Coast College is seeking an experienced Vocational Trainer to support apprentices in Carpentry & Brickwork. You will manage a caseload, conduct reviews, and guide learners through End Point Assessment, working with regional employers to deliver outstanding learning experiences.

The role requires industry experience in Brickwork/Carpentry, TAQA Level 3, and a solid understanding of apprenticeship standards. A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive learning is essential.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 qualification in Brickwork and/or Carpentry and substantial occupational experience.
• Hold a TAQA Level 3 qualification (or equivalent Assessor Award) for workplace assessment.
• Understand apprenticeship standards, progress reviews, off-the-job training and EPA prep.
• Excellent coaching and communication skills with employers and learners.
• Commitment to safeguarding and providing a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of apprentices and conduct progress reviews.
• Provide coaching, guidance and monitor workplace development.
• Support learners toward End Point Assessment and liaise with employers.
• Build strong relationships to ensure an outstanding learning experience.
