Job summary

Peopleplus is seeking an experienced Vocational Multi-Skills Tutor to deliver engaging, hands-on training programmes that equip learners with practical skills, recognised qualifications, and the confidence to progress into employment or further training.

You will design and deliver practical learning sessions across a range of vocational disciplines, creating a supportive learning environment where learners build industry-relevant skills, progress to employment, apprenticeships or further

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2/3 in a trade, alongside Math and English.
• Practical industry experience within construction, or a related vocational sector.
• A passion for developing others and sharing their knowledge.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to motivate and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience delivering training, coaching, mentoring, or supervising others (desirable but not essential).
• A recognised teaching or assessing qualification (desirable), or a willingness to work towards one.
• Relevant vocational qualifications and industry knowledge.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and learner support.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging practical and classroom-based vocational training sessions.
• Support learners to develop technical skills across a range of trade disciplines.
• Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Prepare learners for accredited qualifications and industry standards.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
• Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Develop lesson plans, learning materials, and practical activities.
• Maintain accurate learner records, assessment documentation, and progress reports.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and individual support to help learners overcome barriers to learning.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders to support learner success.
